5th INTERNATIONAL VIDEO-EEG COURSE IN PAEDIATRIC EPILEPSIES. FROM SEIZURES TO SYNDROMES 

MADRID, October 29-30, 2026 

Dear Colleagues,

The Spanish Epilepsy Society (SEEP), in collaboration with the biomedical research foundation of the Niño Jesús Paediatric University Hospital in Madrid, the Neuroscience Department of Bambino Gesù Children’s Hospital – IRCCS, Rome – Italy and with the endorsement of the European Commission of the International League Against Epilepsy (ILAE-Europe), is presenting the fifth edition of this educational activity, that will take place in Madrid, Spain.  

This course offers a transversal approach to the teaching of pediatric epileptology, dealing equally with clinical and neurophysiological aspects, as well as subsequent clinical management. The learning objectives are both to overview the epileptic syndromes in infancy, childhood and adolescence and to integrate the electroclinical findings into a full comprehensive epilepsy evaluation. This edition will focus on the practical application of current ILAE diagnostic criteria and its relevance for personalized treatment.

The course is clinically - oriented, targeted to specialists at the second and third level of epilepsy care. The faculty panel consists of leading European epileptologists. Specialists in pediatric neurology, neurology, clinical neurophysiology and paediatric epilepsy neurosurgery are welcome to apply.

The course will be held in the Ilustre Colegio Oficial de Médicos de Madrid, devoted to Santiago Ramón y Cajal, set in a classic building close to the Museum´s Golden Mile.
